The Bendigo Tennis spring series of night competitions kicks off at the brand new William Loud Tennis Complex, from Monday 9th October 2017.  All matches for this coming summer season will be played exclusively at our new facility, with 16 beautifully lit Plexicushion courts, 10 Plexipave courts, and our new clubhouse and surround facilities.

Ladies Pennant

Ladies pennant will begin on Tuesday night, 10th October from 6pm. The format has proved very popular of recent times, with two grades catering to both the social and competitive player.

  • A Reserve Ladies
  • B Grade Ladies

Match format: 4 players per team, playing 6 doubles 6-game sets with tiebreakers at 5-all.

Fees: $48 per team per week, includes new balls for each match.

Mens /Open Doubles Pennant

Open and A Reserve men’s tennis will play Thursday nights (starts 12th October), with B Grade Mens to feature on Monday (starts 9th October). All matches will start at 6:30 pm.

  • B Grade Men – Monday
  • A Reserve Men – Thursday
  • A Reserve 1 Men – Thursday
  • Open Men – Monday

Match format: 4 players per team, playing 6 doubles 6-game sets with tiebreakers at 5-all.

Fees: $48 per team per week, includes new balls for each match.

Mixed Night Pennant

The very popular social mixed pennant will be played on Wednesday nights (starting 11th October), using the FAST4 format. Matches will start from 6:30 pm with 2 sections to offer to cater for social and competitive teams.

  • A Reserve Mixed
  • B Grade Mixed

Match format: 4 players per team, playing 6 doubles 4-game sets with tiebreakers at 3-all (using FAST4 format).

Fees: $40 per team per week, includes new balls for each match.

Eligibility and Membership

All nominated players must be financial members of the Club nominating them. Players will not take to the court until they can prove they are a financial member of a Bendigo TA affiliated tennis club.

Forfeits and Fines

Teams will be fined their total match fee (both teams) for and un-notified forfeit. In order to avoid an un-notified forfeit, the team must notify the BTA of their intention to forfeit a minimum of 48 hours prior to the scheduled match time. Teams continually offending will be disqualified from the Competition.
